10 questions and answers you must know to be successful online.

Well this is the beginning of something new, I just hope that I can get all this shit down pact. It is very frustrating to try and learn all of this nonsense online with all of these different programs promising instant results. Stop it!! If you are not willing to work for this then you will reap what you sow. Think of this as planting seeds, The more seeds you plant and cultivate, the more “fruit you will bear”. Let me begin by saying that the methods described in here have been used and continue to be used to grow your online business. These 10 questions and answers will open some eyes for some. Now will you use the information that you will receive or will you continually make excuses as to why you are not having any success with your online efforts? Only you can answer that question, but let it be know that I can only provide the resources, it is up to YOU to make things happen!! If you are an internet marketer, blogger, or want to become one, your number one goal is to provide the content, training, and tools for your readers or members. I had a buddy of mine use his expertise in devising a way to find out why there are successful marketers and then everyone else.
He did a survey of over 25,000 online members and got 10% to respond. The results that he came back with where very interesting, and also let me know WHY there were people making a killing online.

Question 1: How long have you been involved with internet marketing?
• 6 months or less = 22.30%
• 6 months to 1 year = 22.30%
• 1 to 2 years = 22.30%
• 2 to 5 years = 21.19%
• 5 years or more = 12.27%
What the numbers show us that internet marketing is still very new and there are 1000’s of people who join the online ranks every day. So if you think marketing to certain niches are saturated and not effective, let be the one to say that is the furthest from the truth. If you are new to “internet marketing” there is a chance you could master this niche also.

Question 2: Are you working full time online?
• Yes I am fulltime and making fulltime money = 7.43%
• I am fulltime, but I don’t make fulltime money = 34.57%
• No, I have a regular job and work partime online = 57.99%

Now when you see the results you should know that you just don’t come in and create a full time income overnight. But look at the high number of fulltime marketers who are not making a fulltime income. Now that number could include a lot of stay at home moms and dads, like me. They may not NEED to create another fulltime income, but they would surely like too.

Question 3: What is your income goal- why are you in internet marketing?
• Just make a little bit of extra cash to help pay bills = 10.78%
• I want to make an extra stream of income(but keep my job) = 7.43%
• I want to be able to quit my job = 54.28%
• I don’t want to ever have to work again(filthy rich) = 27.51%

Now what do we see here? I figured most people just wanted extra money in their lives, therefore like the first to categories. As we see that could not be further from the truth. The majority of people want to go fulltime online and be filthy rich and quit their jobs (Hell don’t we all). So we see WHAT they want, now let’s see how much they actually MAKE!

Question 4: What is your monthly income from internet marketing?
• Zero, nada, nothing = 50.19%
• $1,001 – $2,500 = 2.60%
• $2,501 – $5,000 = 0.37%
• $5,001 – $10,000 = 0.37%
• Over $10,000 = 1.49%
Again, do these numbers stick out to you? I know that over 50% of the people online are not making ANYTHING!! Now we can’t just say that it’s because there are “new marketers” that is why no money is being made. So what else could there be? If we also look and see that the people who work fulltime consider $500-$1000 a month fulltime income. I can’t quit my job over $1000 a month, could you?
With the first 4 questions, we established what people are earning and also how much they would like to be earning. Now let’s figure out how they make their income.

Question 5: Do you have your own website or blog?
• Zero, nada, nothing = 50.19%
• Yes = 71.00%
• No = 29.0%
I know I was told that you had to have your website and hosting to make money online. While they are very important to your overall success, the numbers above are not adding up. There has to be something else and these next 2 questions should help us out more.

Question 5: Are you building your own mailing list?
• Yes = 58.36%
• No = 41.64%

Aha! Now we are finally getting somewhere with all of these numbers. As you can see that building a list is paramount to your online success. And it will become more evident when you see…

Question 7: How many subscribers do you have on your email list?
• I’m not building a list = 29.74%
• Less than 500 = 52.04%
• 500 – 1,000 = 4.83%
• 1,001 – 2,500 = 6.69%
• 2,501 – 5,000 = 1.86%
• 5,001 – 10,000 = 1.86%
• More than 10,000 = 2.97%

As we can see, is that the actual number of people who are not building a list does not add up to the previous question. From what we can gather is that a lot of marketers have tried list building but gave it up because of not seeing immediate results, and to that falling into the less than 500 category.
I am not a gambling man, but I can pretty much hedge my bet and assume that almost all of the people who are not making money fall into the 0-500 subscribers’ category. The marketers who are making a nice income seem to be related to their subscribers list. And even still, it does look like a few of the marketers with a large list are failing to monetize to their full potential.

Question 8: Do you own or sell your own products and programs?
• No, I’m only promoting products as an affiliate = 65.43%
• No, but I do plan on creating my own product(s) = 18.22%
• Yes, I sell my own products and services = 16.36%

Now we see that you don’t have to really have your own products to make money online, there are a lot of people who are making a killing just doing affiliate marketing. But the difference is that they are building…wait for it… a LIST! Now just because you have your own products, you see that there are marketers who are not making any significant income. And what do you think is the reason? You got it a subscriber list.

Question 9: What are your favorite traffic generation methods?
The answers were very evenly spread out, and show that there are a lot of different was to drive traffic to your site. What we can conclude is it does not matter where the traffic is coming from-what matters is what we do with that traffic. Better yet how do we adapt our strategies to funnel the traffic source that we are getting?
However when we look at the numbers we see that traffic exchanges and safe lists rank really high for a lot of people, mainly because they are free and easy to use for marketing newbie’s. If you do have an affiliate program, don’t underestimate these sources of traffic. Also with your own affiliate programs please provide your affiliates with tools optimized for safe lists and traffic exchanges.
A very large number of affiliate gurus are doing this, so you should be too; don’t be left out in the cold.

Question 10: Which affiliate network do you prefer?
This was a general question to see where marketers get their products from. Most people prefer Clickbank, probably because of ease of use (for affiliates, and vendors). PayDotCom came in #2 with smaller networks following.
If we gather all of the information we have received from the previous questions we can safely conclude that if you are in the internet marketing niche your average subscriber or website visitor is…
1. Fairly new to the internet marketing game (less than a year’s experience).
2. Working a full time job and doing internet marketing part time.
3. Looking to replace the job with fulltime internet marketing income.
4. They are NOT building a list.
5. And therefore not making any money from internet marketing.

What we can gather is that it would be a very safe assumption to focus all of your products/services on teaching how to create that job quitting full time income online to newbie’s from scratch.
And how do we do this? By showing them how to build a list and how to monetize their list. There is a lot of crap online, but that is really what it boils down too.
If you do have your own products and services, please help your affiliates get that first sale, help them get the ball rolling. This will very likely generate LOYAL customers and affiliates who will be very happy to promote your services. Now if you provide them with tools and services to promote the 97% of those who are not making money online. Remember if you go above and beyond for your customers or subscribers I guarantee they will become your best affiliates, or customers. Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions. I am new at blogging so give me some patience while I am able to work out the kinks with my site. If you have any questions or comments you can email me. Like everything in life, there are no guarantees of income to be made. Just keep your nose on the grind and get your hustle on. Do not let setbacks stop you. If you fail, get up and try again. You will never learn to be successful if you are afraid of failure. I would not be here if I was afraid of failure. If we don’t fail at things in life, we will never learn anything. Peace.
